The legislative franchise bill for Negros Power has been approved by Congress and will be forwarded to the Office of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his approval before becoming law. Once approved, Negros Power will have the authority to operate as an electric distribution utility for 25 years in the cities of Bacolod, Bago, Silay, and Talisay, as well as the municipalities of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental.
