The tree planting initiative witnessed a remarkable turnout of over 500 participants, including dedicated employees from Negros Power, government officials, institutions, and Indigenous Peoples from Negros Occidental. The presence of Municipal Vice Mayor Nehemiah Joe Dela Cruz underscored the local government’s unwavering support for environmental conservation efforts.
Atty. Gerry Llena, President of IBP-Negros Occidental, expressed heartfelt appreciation to Negros Power for their significant sponsorship of the event. Over 2,000 Trees Planted for Reforestation
The collective endeavor resulted in the planting of more than 2,000 trees, encompassing diverse species like Almaciga, Bacan, Narra, and Acacia, essential for rejuvenating and preserving the region’s rich biodiversity.
