Philippine real estate giant Camella, to commemorate its 40th anniversary, hosted the National Camella Day (NCD) in Iloilo. Held at the Vista Mall in Oton, Iloilo last August 18, this event was one of four grand National Camella Day celebrations this 2018, which is going to be a month-long affair. The first stop was in Bataan (North Luzon) last August 5, followed by Davao for the Mindanao leg last August 12, then this event in Iloilo. The last stop will be in Cavite (South Luzon) on August 25.

This month-long celebration is Camella’s way of thanking and giving back to the communities where Camella is present. It’s also a good opportunity to entertain the locals craving for fun and entertainment.

The event started with a grand motorcade around Iloilo City and Vista Mall’s vicinity. Then there was a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Camella officials Genevie Gregorio, Area Manager of Globaland; Michael Moyaga, Vista Mall Operation Head; Lily Donasco, Division Head of Camella Visayas-Palawan; Paula Agront, President of Savannah Crest; Henny Lenore Elmar, Camella Condo Homes Head; and Marivic Amarillo, Vista Land Relations Head.

“We want each of our homeowners in Iloilo to proudly say “Taga-Camella Iloilo ako”, this coming from Lily Donasco, Camella’s Division Head in Visayas-Palawan. Taga Camella Ako”, is incidentally also the tagline for the National Camella Day celebration this year. The objective is to awaken a sense of pride and love from homeowners and stakeholders of the Camella brand.

There were lots of prizes given away and fun performances. Among the prizes in the raffle draws were AllHome giftchecks, Android phones, Coffee Project Vouchers, and a lot more. Camella also introduced Esang, the newest mascot of the Lessandra series, Camella’s most affordable line of houses. The homeowners of the subdivision also joined in the Camella Got Talent contest.

Students from Mandurriao Elementary School and Abilay Sur Elementary School in Oton received goodies from Bake My Day and All Day Supermarket and got to meet Esang. They also watched a magic show and enjoyed activities like balloon twisting and a bubble show. All these made the kids’ faces light up and their hearts even more thankful. The gift-giving was in line with Camella’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program (CSR). The company partnered with Georgia Academy, Camella Iloilo’s own school.

Among the activities in the afternoon were dance contest and live performance of various local artists. Many dance groups joined in the dance competition. The participating groups were, as follows: Siztahood, PRF Kidz, Velocity X Dance Crew, D’Fuse, Brother Aces Hoodz, Crewstyler Iloilo, Fresh Hoodz, and Groovestyle. The winner was Velocity X Dance Crew and runners-up were PRF Kids and Crewstyler Iloilo.

Local artists who performed were the Headz Up Dance Group, Philippine’s first representative to World Supremacy Battlegrounds International; Stephanie Gemao, Tawag ng Tanghalan Visayas contender; Ethan Loukas, Singer and songwriter; and Jeck Estoce of MKF Talent, singer and print ad model.

The highlight of the National Camella Day was the appearance of today’s hottest boy group, BoybandPH. They burned the stage with their all-out performances much to the delight of the audience. The group is comprised of Joao Constancia, Niel Murillo, Tristan Ramirez, Russell Reyes, and Ford Valencia.
Indeed, Camella continues to give quality yet affordable housing opportunities to everyone, it being the largest homebuilder in the country. Expect more fun and exciting National Camella Day celebrations in the future.
