Level Up Your Financial Journey With Sun Life's

For Gen Z and Millennials, the future is centered around experiences, travel, and financial independence. Sun Life’s new game, “Play for Life: A Game of Choices” aligns perfectly with this mindset, seamlessly blending fun and financial education.

Sun Life has always been more than just insurance and investments. They are your Partner for Life, dedicated to helping you navigate the complexities of financial planning. “Play for Life” embodies this commitment, offering a playful yet impactful way to learn and grow.

A Game That Mirrors Real Life

“Play for Life: A Game of Choices” starts by having players define their life goals and select characters representing different careers. With a roll of the dice, you guide your character across a board with spaces representing various life scenarios. Some spaces bring “Life Wins,” offering opportunities that boost your journey. Others present “Life Happens” moments, challenging you with unexpected events. Then, there are “Life Choices” spaces, where important financial decisions need to be made. The goal? Accumulate enough play money to achieve your life dreams, navigating both the highs and lows that come your way.

“I was curious about the game, so I tried the online version,” said Marie, a Sun Life mutual fund client based in Iloilo City.“The goal options included vacation funds, business capital, automobile, retirement funds, education, and property. The characters to choose from were specialists, mechanics, BPO employees, gamers, teachers, medical staff, managers, and executives; each had a specified salary and expenses. Each roll of the dice and each card drawn showed me real-life scenarios such as a car emergency, adopting a fur baby, shopping, earning money from a gig, and eating out, among others. The rise and fall of my income and savings because of these choices gave me an understanding of the consequences of my financial choices. In every step, Sun Life provides bright tips and cheers you on if you’re nearing your goal.”
