L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod Turns Over Donation To Virlanie Foundation
Last January 6, 2018, L’Fisher Hotel Bacolod turned over Php 31,463 from their Tree of Hope program (now on its 2nd year) to Virlanie Foundation for their support of underprivileged children. Accepted by Virlanie program director Sara Vial, the event was the culmination of a month-long fundraising activity at the hotel where a 20-foot winter wonderland themed Christmas tree was lighted the whole December and its Christmas balls were sold for Php 100 each, and guests who bought them wrote Christmas messages and hang them on the tree together with the ball.

The event was attended by some hotel staff, guests, and the children of the foundation. The turnover of donation was led by Resident Manager Victor James Alcantara, Hotel Chief Executive Officer Delia Ciocon-Granada, and CEO Ditas Ciocon. Created by a group of French nationals 25 years ago, Virlanie has helped about 17,000 children in the Philippines. It is indeed better to give than to receive.
