Negros Electric and Power Corporation, known as Negros Power, is gearing up to become the new electric distribution utility for Bacolod and Central Negros. The company is making strategic preparations to ensure a smooth transition and improved services for the consumers.
Ready for Day One
Negros Power has announced that it has already purchased an initial stock of brand-new electrical materials, which will be delivered to their warehouses in Central Negros soon. This preparation is part of their broader plan to improve the distribution network and deliver efficient, reliable, and sustainable power to consumers.

Legislative Approval
The legislative franchise bill for Negros Power has been approved by Congress and will be forwarded to the Office of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for his approval before becoming law. Once approved, Negros Power will have the authority to operate as an electric distribution utility for 25 years in the cities of Bacolod, Bago, Silay, and Talisay, as well as the municipalities of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental.
Negros Power anticipates commencing operations in the third quarter of this year, marking a new era of energy distribution for Central Negros.
