Art Sale Concludes SM City Bacolod’s Arts Month Celebration
SM ART SALE 2018: Various local artists from Bacolod and Negros Occidental hold Art Sale at SM City Baclod
SM Supermalls has long been a strong supporter of creative talent by hosting art exhibits and highlighting artists and most art forms in its various venues. Various local artists and groups have been featured in the spotlight over the years at any SM mall.
For SM City Bacolod, the celebration of the National Arts Month, which is held in February every year, kicked off as early as January through the unveiling of the “Art Rules at SM” exhibit.
This mini gallery inside the mall featured exceptional works of art in various mediums, themes and topics of participating artists from January to March. The changing exhibits allowed for over 50 artists to exhibit their works of art and offer them for sale to the public.
In return, patrons are able to peruse the works from their favorite artists, and even discover new talent, at their frequently visited dining, shopping and entertainment center.
Aside from artworks on exhibit, Art Rules also held a series of art workshops for mall goers who wanted to learn and reap the benefits of painting and creating.
This week, Art Rules comes to a close with a finale dubbed the Art Sale. The ten-day show will run from March 13-23 and features more than 1,000 art pieces for sale. Here one can bring home a piece or more from their favorite artists with art made more affordable for this special event at prices ranging from Php 100 to Php 10,000.
Aside from art on canvas and framed art pieces, original works are also in the form of decorative and functional items like home décor, notebooks and postcards.
