Vikings Bacolod: Great Food And Good Times

Vikings is known as the Philippines’ largest buffet restaurant. It opened its doors to the public on April 2011 with its first branch at By the Bay, Mall of Asia. Vikings serves more than 400 delectable dishes prepared by world-class chefs. It currently has seven (7) branches all over Metro Manila, with an 8th branch at SM City Bacolod, which opened last October 2015. Negrenses and Bacolodnons are known for being food lovers and would even be willing to pay a lot for good food. This is most probably the reason why Vikings chose to put up its first branch in Visayas in Bacolod City.

The Food

Vikings has redefined the standards of dining in class and style not only with its elegant, vast, and lavish interiors but more importantly with its mouth-watering international cuisines, and mind you, they have more than enough to satisfy even the most meticulous diner. There are different stations and in each station you’ll find various selections of really delicious dishes. The stations they have are Italian, Japanese, Chinese, Asian, Main Kitchen, Shabu-Shabu, Noodle, Carving, Grilling, Filipino Delicacies, Dessert, Appetizer, and Drinks. They also have a Wine section (you can get a bottle of wine for an additional fee).

The Place

Another reason that sets Vikings Bacolod apart from the rest of the competition is its lovely interiors, and to say that it’s classy is an understatement. The decor and theme are inspired by the starry nights of Midnight Manhattan. The wall decors also command attention, what with the blue violet rhinoceros heads. The well thought-of design of the restaurant makes it easy to pass through the stations without jostling and bumping to each other. The place is really huge and can accommodate up to 400 diners. There are three function rooms that can seat up to 16 people each. They are free as long as you make reservations and pay per head. It’s ideal for special occasions, private family gatherings, corporate meetings etc. Furthermore, the seats are comfortable and the staff and crew are always more than willing to help each and every customer.

Birthdays At Vikings

If you’re thinking of celebrating your birthday at Vikings, then you’re in for a memorable and joyous experience. When I celebrated mine at Vikings Bacolod last October, I felt really special since they have crew members assigned to provide greetings and all-around entertainment. There’s this one crew who I find very funny as he sang and danced like there was no tomorrow. It was so entertaining and fun! Aside from the greetings, they gave me a delicious mini cake with a candle to blow.

Vikings Birthday Promo Mechanics

The birthday celebrant may eat for free at Vikings for ONE WHOLE MONTH only when he/she meets the following conditions:

1. Birthday celebrant of all ages can avail the birthday promo on the day itself and on their birthday month.
2. Celebrants can eat for free on the day of their birthday on both lunch and dinner, as long as accompanied by ONE FULL PAYING ADULT.
3. Celebrants can eat for free for one month on both lunch and dinner per day, as long as it is within the month of his/her birthday and accompanied by FOUR FULL PAYING ADULTS.
4. One full paying adult are adult guests who will be paying full rate without any discounts.
5. Requirements for Celebrants: Celebrants must bring an ORIGINAL and VALID government issued picture ID with the birthdate imprinted on it, both local and foreign IDs are accepted, for proof (such as SSS, NBI, Driver’s License, Pag-ibig, PRC, Barangay, Unified, Police Clearance ID, and Passport). In case that the celebrant doesn’t have a government issued picture ID, he/she may bring his/her birth certificate supported by any picture ID (school ID, parent’s ID, company ID).
6. This promo can’t be used in conjunction with current promotions or discounts (including senior citizen discounts).
7. Special Gift certificates to avail of the promo is not honored.

Rates & Discounts

Vikings offers promos and discounts aside from the usual senior citizen and PWD discounts. They also give 50% discount all year round to diners 75 years old and above.

Vikings Bacolod also has a 10+2 Big Group Promo. This is open to guests with reservations for 12 persons and above. For every group of 10 (full paying guests), 2 added guests get to eat for free!
